I found this while browsing last night.  It lists a bunch of sites in and around Fall River and the hauntings that have taken place there.
I'm gonna print this out for the next time I go.

Very cool, Augusta, I love this kind of stuff!  Kat, here are some from the towns featured in Lizzie's life.

Fairhaven - Fairhaven High School (The Castle on the Hill) - Various "cold spots" and poltergeist activity have been reported in the "Main building" which was built in the 1800's by Fairhaven town benefactor Henry Huttleston Rogers. Fairhaven High School is located on Huttleston Ave.

Fairhaven - Millicent Library - The founder of Fairhaven, Henry Huttleston Rogers, had a daughter named Millicent. She died when she was barely seventeen of heart failure. Rumor has it that he had her buried under the foundation before the foundation was finished. People who visit the library sometimes see her walking the halls, outlined in bright blue light. At night, passersby both on foot and in cars have reported seeing the girl standing in the window of the turret in front. On the upper floors, many have seen a woman dressed all in black wandering along, running her fingers along the books. No one knows who this ghostly woman could be. She often disappears too fast for anyone to get a good look.

Theres more listed for the Millicent library, different rooms have different hauntings.

Fall River - 92 Second St. Fall River/ Bed & Breakfast - This is the house where Lizzie Borden lived and supposedly killed her father and step mother, Andrew and Abbey Borden. Cold spots are reported and doors open and close by themselves. Many ghosts have appeared and disappeared especially in the second floor bedroom where the murder occurred.

Fall River - Aldea - Mysterious noises, Mysterious blurs in photos...house left untouched.... supposedly 4 people lived there man wife two children.... and one night the youngest child died and the man lost his mind killing his wife and daughter including himself.

Fall River - Oak Grove Cemetery - Witnesses report seeing lights in the cemetery and some have even heard screaming from the Borden family plot, accompanied with bad feelings.

Marion - Tabor Academy - Lillard Hall - In the Lillard Hall Penthouse, a boy hung himself. It is said that you can hear voices and sounds coming from the attic and penthouse. The Lillard Hall Penthouse is still used today, and the rooms are still billeted in by students.

Theres a few more, like for Tyngsboro and Taunton.

Oh!  Thanks you guys!

I think it was more likely my printer use earlier which fouled me up, but I never know!  The "Haunting Sites" can freeze me- it's strange.

You should check the Fall River Herald News for an article done by the manager of the Animal Rescue League if you like stories of hauntings. I can't remember the date it ran. They should be able to look it up for you. Just mention Lizzie.

Rebello (our hero!), 174:

"Eerie Events in an Old House on Durfee Street," Fall River Herald News, July 27, 1981: 1.

"Is the ghost of Lizzie Borden responsible for the strange happenings at the home of the Animal Rescue League's supervisor who lives adjacent to the Animal Rescue League? He has observed empty rocking chairs move, his laundry folded, towels and socks neatly sorted and folded, the TV turned off, and knots that had been tied in towels, and shoes untied.

Mr. Alfonso placed yellow roses on Lizzie's grave on the anniversary of her death. These were ordered by an unidentified New York woman. He has also experienced eerie events at the Bordens' family cemetery."

Mike was a dear friend and not given to spooks and such. So when I read this I was really surprised. If ever there was a man who loved animals it was Mike Alphonso.
It is much more fun to read the actual article. Rebello has it boiled down to bare bones (so to speak). The article tells of all the ways Mike tried to see if someone was playing tricks on him.
I have some articles here but my scanner is not up and running at the moment.

I remember the story that your talking about gramma, It was on the front page I believe. I used to work at the Animal Rescue League burying dead dogs & cats if you can believe that & I remember some of the older employees trying to scare me with the Lizzie Haunting stories. I never did let myself alone while in the shelter. The story got you to thinking.  Mark

This was not a scary haunting really. Although, I bet Mike thought it was scary enough! He would find clothes folded and neatly stacked for him and his shoes placed neatly. In other words someone was looking after him. At first he thought he had done it and forgotten. Then the more times it happened the more he realized he hadn't done it. Then he deliberately left things piled up and watched to see what would happen.
He was the kind of person that deserved a helping hand so it is fitting he got one.

As far as this site goes, the Fairhaven stuff is mostly worthless BS. Anyone can add a "haunting" to this site.

The information about the Millicent Library is particularly foolish. The room that is called "The Chinese Room" actually has a collection of items from the town's Sister City in Japan. The room is noticeably cold in the summer because it is the only public room in the building that's air conditioned. (Usually there's a sign on the door that says that, too, so folks keep the door shut.)

My mother has worked full-time at the Millicent Library for around twenty years, at least. My sister worked there several years, too. No signs of haunting. Ever.

I just found this from 2001, don't know if its ever been posted before?

Massachusetts
Cable TV's Lifetime is filming 57 new segments for Unsolved Mysteries this fall. For three days, actors, camera crews, producers and directors have had the run of the Lizzie Borden Bed & Breakfast Museum, site of the infamous 1892 double murders in Fall River. One interviewee is Katherine Ramsland, paranormal writer and biographer of Anne Rice and Dean Koontz. Recently, while researching paranormal activity, Ramsland visited the Borden residence. Equipped with an "EVP recorder — a small device that can pick up sounds the human ear cannot and then play them back," Ramsland and another woman searched the basement. After calling, "Hello. Is anyone there?" several times, the "little red light on the device lit up, signaling something had been taped. Something they did not hear. When played back, a voice sounding strained and eerie responded to them." Martha McGinn, co-owner of the Borden house, witnessed the event. She says the strained voice was that of a very loud male who was attempting to answer Ramsland, although none of his words could be clearly distinguished. "That sent some goose pimples up my spine," says McGinn. Emily Berry, a Cape Cod resident and the segment's producer, agrees. "The voices sound so odd when they come back." Berry says Ramsland told her the voices sound so eerie because it takes great strength for spirit entities to break through to our world. Berry also used the device, and picked up strange sounds as well. A cameraman recorded an orb on film, which was sent back to the network for analysis. "There's an energy here," says Berry. McGinn says activity has been in the house for as long as she can remember. She purposefully distinguishes between "activity" and "hauntings." Hauntings, says McGinn, mean malicious events, which equates with Amityville Horror for most people. Such isn't the case with the Borden house; there has never been any violence of the ghostly kind. Instead, lights go on and off; doors open and close; knocks sound on doors; glowing energy appears; and an older, Victorian period woman slips into sight. "I could be reading a book in my bedroom and go to the bathroom. When I'd get back the book would be gone. I'd find it downstairs on the kitchen table or something. It's mostly prankster stuff," says McGinn. One maid reported seeing the indentation of a short heavy person, complete with head and feet, on the bed in the room where Lizzie's stepmother was found. "Strange things happen to everyone who works here," says Berry. McGinn believes the ghosts are of Andrew Borden, Lizzie's father, and of Abby Durfee Borden, Lizzie's stepmother. But other ghosts may be present as well. Several guests have heard children laughing, and others the sounds of kids shooting marbles. McGinn hears children playing too. According to her research, two children were murdered — drowned by their mother — in the house next door. Two guests reported apparitions of children in the Borden house. One woman saw two little Victorian-era boys, who told her their names were Timmy and Jimmy. Another guest reported a Victorian-period girl who asked to have a story read to her. McGinn comments that another Borden child died in infancy; her name was Alice. Tune in this fall to see how many ghosts are conjured up.

Does anyone have the text (or a link to the text) from the article about Lizzie that appeared in Fate Magazine last autumn? I tried to find a copy, but with no luck. Thanks.

Stuart, this link says there was an article in the September 2002 Fate "At The Borden House":  http://www.geocities.com/sheriw1965/

Click that and it will take you here:  http://www.fatemag.com/

Click Fate Archives on the left and then the 2002 Issues.  I found the Sept. 2002 issue but no mention of that article.

Stuart, did a little further digging.  Try the November 2003 issue.  "A Night with Lizzie Borden"

And at this Borden item site, the author claims to have written for Fate Magazine:

Stef bought it and I supposedly have a copy but I can't find it.

I was thinking about you last night.

I looked everywhere but can't find my copy of Fate.  Sorry.  Will check Stef.

Meanwhile I went to Har's link at Fate Magazine.
I followed their link to their message board and fromthere found a link to a live Loch Ness Cam and then I followed a link to The Library Ghost Cam.
The Basement camera was neat but the Children's room was eerie.

If a person has some spare time and good eyes, these cams were pretty cool.
Beware the Library starts out with some ghostly footsteps sounds.

Thanks everybody, for all of the links to Fate Magazine. I'm especially interested in the Library Ghost website, Kat. I'll have to explore it more fully after this weekend is over.
It's funny you were thinking of me the other night, Kat. The night before you mentioned, I had a dream that Emma Borden was chasing me for an incriminating letter I had found!

What, if any, ghost by the tree where William S Borden was "suicided"?
Does anyone know where this site it, or visited it?

Oh gawd I was up still at 4:30 checking in on that cam site at the Evanston Ill. Library!
Stef is laughing at me but thinks it's neat.

I was thinking about you and your shop and our member friend here who was going to try to astral project and I wondered if he went & if he returned!!?

OOO what was in the letter in your dream?
I bet there are letters!
...........

Ray- are you starting a rumor of a ghost of Billy Borden?

It was a very short dream. I remember having a couple of letters in my hand that clearly implicated Emma. Somehow I was summoned to Maplecroft, and I went to the back door. It was night time, and very dark. All I could see were two pairs of Victorian shoes sticking out from Victorian skirts. Suddenly, Emma spoke in chilling tones: "Give me my letters. All I want are my letters!" I turned and ran, with Emma in hot pursuit. Then I woke up! (It's a good thing, too, because I think that she was swinging a certain weapon as she ran!)
I guess I'll have to start dining a little earlier.

Uh Oh!  I liked it so much I thought "Gee everyone will go watch for ghosts and no one will post!"
But oh well, It IS fun!

Stef and I think the B&B should put in cams as well!

We've heard of things going on at the Borden house, and this Ghost-buster club went there and got some great pics of those white spiral columns, but someone who has lived in that house never saw or heard anything.
