I thought it only fair to include this link to an recent article where Victoria Lincoln's book on Lizzie is recommended.

Thanks Susan, that was interesting.
Yes, I thought that was a well-written article. I think it illustrates why so many of us totally bought into "A Private Disgrace" at one time or another. And why -- in spite of all the flaws we've uncovered in Lincoln's book -- we can still regard it with a certain fondness.
Thanks Susan.
I noticed that V. Lincoln gave an interview in 1967 to which the author alludes. I just sent him a note asking if he had the full citation so we can order it from the Library.

You're all welcome, just something I came across surfing and saw Lincoln's name, had to check it out. Yes, despite the flaws or misconceptions in the book, it still is one of my favorite Lizzie reads. I am currently rereading Porter's History Of The Borden Murders and the flaws are jumping out at me, I find it interesting that that is so. I think that Lincoln can be quite seductive with her prose and you just fall into it?
Kat, that would be an interesting read, I hope you can get it, the small bit about her that I read there made me like her more as a person.
Fred Rasmussen replied already and had not only offered the full citation, he then offered to send a copy of the article.
When I receive it, I would like to know more about him.
Yes, amazing how many people know or do the Lizzie thing! Will the article be available on the forum or next month's Newzletter?
I don't know until I see the content. If it's important or not. Getting to know Ms. Lincoln would be welcome.
I would need permission as well.
-Either way, you will know.
I love new items! I can't wait!

Cool! Thanks. I too love reading new stuff like that, even though its actually old, its still new to us!
I think a reviewer can summarize an article and comment on it.
Is the 1963 or 1937 book "Trial of Lizzie Borden" in public domain?
The extension of copyrights a few years ago makes a lot of works unavailable to the average person. Too small a market to reprint, but not allowed to photocopy and post in .pdf format.
