I recently saw a current photograph of the Andrew Borden
Building and for some reason I was surprised that it was
red brick. (I always imagined it gray stone colored) Anybody
know what offices are occupying it now? (I would like
to peek around in there some day-mabe open a dojo on the
second floor...)

"I think"..."someone said"...that
it was now owned by AETNA (?)

It was refurbished and extended by Aetna Insurance in
1966 and purchased by Travelers Insurance in 1996. Word
has it, Travelers is selling it's property/casualty portion
of the business which would include this building.
I worked there for 13 years, just left for another job
in April 2001.

WOW!
Thank you VERY MUCH!
And WElcome...and Happy Holidays!!!!! HOHOHO
Hey, wait a minute! Travelers is divesting of it's property
insurance segment? That's MY homeowners policy--they bought
it from GEICO. I had no say in the matter...
I live in Florida, and we NEVER have a "say"
in the matter! There goes "UP" my deductible.....BOO
...and yet, STILL...HOHOHO!

Thank you John and Yoko fan (I am too)
So what was the building like-anything remaining of the
old days? Creepy in the basement?

Kash, I thought you wanted the 2nd floor for aikaido?
Do you want the basement for a seance?

Kats,
I am combining the two for a new version of aikido in
which the dearly departed are encouraged to participate.
(Last week Bridget Sullivan clobbered me)

So your aim is to give the benefit of "fitness"
to all: including the dearly departed? I think that must
be the ULTIMATE in non-discrimination! Cheers to you!

Absoluty Kats. The dearly departed need self defense in
the after life just as much as you and I. (Andrew and
Abby were the first to sign up)

LOL
Not an annual membership, but an eternal one .
Lets hope the elder Bordens get the first Axkido whack
in on Lizzie before she unleashes HER first blow on them
