By harry on Tuesday, 12/25/2001 - 10:04 pm [Edit] [Reply] [Msg Link]   ------------------------------------------------------------------------ A while back we talked about whether the sofa had casters. Attached are 3 photos of the guest room showing the dresser and the bed. The dresser looks like it's on casters as well. If you look real close at the corner bedpost it looks like it doesn't touch the floor. This may have been a facade covering the actual post.

Yes, the cast shadow (?) makes it appear to be raised. Unless its just a trick of the lighting.

But how relative is it to the question of guilt or innocence, or anything else?

Oh, so it seems Stef was right about the casters. Thanks for showing the close-up shots, Harry.

It means the dresser could be moved easily...the bed could be moved easily (by Doherty) and put back into position easily..the sitting room sofa could be moved easily...By a WoMaN, if need be.
But more important, the furniture legs are BROWN.

You all know it's been my contention that the sofa was moved, whether before, during or After the murder of Andrew is still to be debated.
But if there are casters on that couch, couldn't the blows falling from beyond/ behind the arm of the sofa onto Andrews face and driving into bone, and the pulling OUT of the weapon blade over and over and over and over and over and ten times, subtley pull that couch closer to the doorway to the dining room?  Bowen thinks the couch is not quite in the right place (or am I misunderstanding his Prelim. Test.?), and the body had originally been higher up when he first saw it--then the photo showed it had sunk down.

(Harry, do you have the furniture "casters" pic.s?)

Harry,

In the "good old days" furniture was massive and heavy. The wood was usually mahogony, a very dense material. ALL of this furniture had casters. You don't see casters on modern furniture because it is much lighter; very often plywood with a veneer.

Here are some images of the casters that I see on the couch. They are attachments here so click on the description to see them. Let me know what you think. Harry, how about adding that shot of the guest room caster too?

Here's a pretty good close up of the dresser showing the casters.
