There is another victorian style home on Second st.  Article on it said it was built in 1873, was a private residence until 1895 and then became a convent for Catholic nuns. Now it's a B&B.

That was cool Harry! When I was there in 98, there was only one other occupant of the house, a man who was staying in Bridget's room. He was a salesman who frequently came to Fall River on business and stayed at the LB B&B whenever he was in town. He was there for a week. He said it was the peace and quiet he liked. He said he wasn't much interested in the case. Odd when you about it. Considering the cost of the room and all. Anyway, I believe there is a call for B&Bs in Fall River.

Does anyone know why Maplecroft isn't a B&B anymore? Or is it still?

That salesman must have had a healthy expense account. Wow, in effect you had the house to yourself. Now, that would be scary.

That's a good question about Maplecroft. Wasn't he reluctant in the first place to open it up as a B&B?  If your interested in Lizzie, Maplecroft is probably the better place to stay. For the crime, naturally it would have to be 92 Second St.

According to Dave Quigley the "night manager" at the L.B. B&B the house at Maplecroft is still a B & B however the owner/manager doesn't (according to Dave) put a lot of energy into advertising and consequently doesn't do a lot of business.

I personally think this is a shame as if he were to join with the McGinn's and work out some scheme of "before and after" the murders he might realize a pot of gold.

When I have an opportunity I will research that and get back with some sort of answer.  BC

Here's another article on that other B&B on Second street.

Oh, and a mysterious gavel to boot! Cool article, Harry. Great find. It sounds like a nice place to stay. Definitely cheaper than the LBB&B and just down the street!

I will have to check that one out one day.
