Any members out there interested in meeting sometime in the future at Fall River? Doing lunch, visiting the B&B, mabe going to throw rocks at Maplecroft?

How 'bout we just throw rocks at the homeowner & leave the house alone?  

Ya know folks, TIS the 110th "anniversary" of the crimes this year.  Perhaps we should set a date (sometime in Aug maybe??) see how many people are interested & arrange something.

How's about it Webmistress?  Or anyone else out there good at arranging this sort of stuff?

Hey, hey I am all in favor of that motion.  Let's try to carpe mortum and put something together.  I live in Attleboro, MA, a short 25 minute ride from Fall Rev (local slang for Fall River). 

If we can determine who might be interested and where everyone lives then maybe we can put it all together...I am in.

I'm fromm Lynn Bobcooke! Not too far from Fall River, hmmm?

Not at all...why Lynn is just a hop-skip-and-a-jump up the expressway.
You may be aware of this historical fact of famous murder suspects, do you recall that the late Albert DeSalvo, aka The Boston Strangler, was arrested in Lynn at the large uniform supply store after he had escaped from prison in the very late 60's or early 70's?

One of the Firefighters on our Dept. once worked as a local salesman for that uniform supply store, the name evades me, and he would tell the tale repeated to him from the owner who, was working in his store that day.  As the story goes DeSalvo, a native of Malden, was on the lame and went into the store to use the payphone to call his brother.

While DeSalvo was making his call to his brother, who later told authorities that he told Albert to turn himself in.  After finishing the phone call DeSalvo, reportedly stepped over to the owner at the counter and asked him to call the police so he could turn himself in.

The owner obliged DeSalvo who waited patiently for the arrival of police.  While waiting for police DeSalvo engaged in a friendly conversation with the owner assuring the owner that no harm would fall upon him.  DeSalvo was arrested without incident and the owner has told the story a billion times over.
