Nance O'Neil was born on October 8, 1874 in Oakland, California. Her real name was Gertrude Lamson but before she was 20 she changed it to "Nance O'Neil". She lived at 145 West 55th Street in Manhattan until the age of 89. She had no children, tho she was married to a British actor named Alfred Hickman, who died before her. She died on February 7, 1965 when she was 90 at the Actors Fund Home In Englewood, New Jersey.
She's pictured in an ad for Lux Toilet Soap in a Screenland Magazine.
(The above comes from "Lizzie Borden, Past and Present" by Leonard Rebello.)

You're welcome you're welcome you're welcome!
Are you doing research on Nance? I think she's an interesting character. Like Lizzie, I think she was somewhat before her time.

SShhh-I'm writing a long-winded, boring story
in which Nance figures prominantly. (And I'm developing
a big crush on her...)
