Ok, there is this person selling a first edition of the Porter book and has these photos on their ebay sale page. Thing is, they are the CLEAREST photos I have seen of the crime scene.

I will attempt to add them here but if they are too large they will not load. Plus once the sale is over, the link will no longer be good.

If the photos don't load, here is the address:

You can just see the beginning of the blood stain on her left shoulder, up over the *hump* of her body.  It's faintly just becoming visible.
Why would the Medical Examiner NOT find that wound until OakGrove?

Those two photos are great!  Have to agree they are the best yet.  I have taken a "ride" on the website and landed at Ebay which reminded me that I am an Ebay registrant.  So I did what all good God fearing Ebay registrants are supposed to do...I bought things! (Well at least I bid on them) There are quite a few items up for sale.  One interesting item are two copies of the 1893 E.H. Porter 1st Edition.  Both are listed as being in "excellent" condition but here's the amazing difference...one copy is selling for a minimum of $75.00 and the other is a mere $249.00!!  Go figure!  I am tempted to consider the $75.00 verison though I have just read a copy of the re-print.  That copy I got free at the Seekonk Library.  I also bid on the cheapest copy of the VHS video "The Legend of Lizzie Borden" starring Elizabeth Montgomery.  There are several copies available but most start bidding at a minimum of $25.00.  I have a weakness for bidding on things on Ebay a trait I inherited from my off-spring (sons).  Well back to the bidding.....

Looks like there's been some retouching along the folds of Abby's dress.  I think the clearest I've seen in a book are the direct reproductions of the photos from the hip-bath in the de Mille book.

Don't forget the SHOTS IN THE DARK book!

BC:  Why don't you buy THAT book...your kids are old enough...
Great , Fine Quality, glossy.

PS:  Aren't those "Legend" video's bootlegged?

Kat: I understand that the "Legend of Lizzie Borden" starring Elizabeth Montgomery VHS may truly be "bootlegged".  Sadly I have allowed myself to fall into the trap.  I paid a more than reasonable price for one and when it came I could clearly see that it was a reproduction of a reproduction of a reproduction.....etc.

Who knows what generation my tape is.  I suppose I should turn myself in to the Copyright Authorities but I did pennace in another form.

And if you read some of the feedback by buyers of such tapes on eBay, they are also arriving blank and sometimes unwatchable. It is a shame that you were ripped off, Bob. Do you read feedback ratings of the people you buy from? I used to not do that until I got the shaft one time---and the warning was there for me to see in the seller's feedback. Now I religiously read it and make my decision before I bid. I have been happily safe from unscrupulous sellers ever since that time. (but that one time was an EXPENSIVE lesson!).

Mia Kumpa, Mia Kumpa...well I have started reading the feedback notes and like all else in a Virgo's life...I learn too late.  My video is visible though a bit shaky in spots...I sill certainly not be video shopping at Ebay...but I have to confess, Mia Kumpa, Mia Kumpa...I have bought a variety of books, but the upside is I don't spend a small fortune on them.

I need to see a priest..........
