This page describes a murder of 8 people
by axe in the small town of Villisca, Iowa in June 1912.
Villisca is about 30 miles east of Hastings, Iowa.
We all know of somebody who lived in Hastings. However,
Uncle John passed on in March of 1912, some 3 months earlier,
so this is one he is definitely innocent of.
The author of this article makes the mistake in the spelling
of Borden as Bordon. It is apparently an old article because
the Fall River B&B was being debated at the time of
its writing. Note the attempt, ala Fall River to capitalize
on the crime. Apparently it was never solved.
