Your Intrepid Reporter Here:

Last year, some of you may recall, and I'll never forget, I went outside to experience the Hype That Was Leonid, and all I got, for staying up, and Looking UP was a raindrop falling off my roof eave and up my nose.

This year, they said the Peak view would be from 5 A.M. until 5:50 A.M..  It's about 50 degrees outside, which for here, is kind of cold.  I went outside at 5:20 and waited and looked...and NADA.
They said the view was good between here and Africa, so I calculated that to be southeast, and stared that way for some minutes.  Nada.

Came inside, fed the kitties, cleaned the water bowls, farted around, and then grabbed my coat and went out front again about 5:40 A.M.

There!  And There!  Two flashes and I was hooked!
Thereandthere....and There!
A bright white streak...lasting just as long as a "Wow!"
There and   ...........there!
They were all over,  from every direction!
Streaks of whitest WHITE Light!

A good show!

Hi Kat,
I got a cup of coffee and went to the beach for the meteor show too-I counted seventeen little needles of light. Fascinatin! (PS the presentation went well-I actually filled the room, nailed every question, people asked if I did it for a living, and I can't wait to do it again! The historical society president asked me back again as well. It was so much fun!)

We're so glad you got out alive!
I'll bet you were GREAT!
I almost asked you if you wore a costume, but I think that question was troublesome before.
Anyway, are you going to TELL US the WHOLE STORY????

Troublesome? I don't remember, but I did not wear any sort of costume. I did not want to bring a Halloween-ish, or cartooonish atmosphere to the talk; I felt it would be disrespectful of the victims, and of Lizzie herself. (besides, I look terrible in a corset...)

Troublesome question on another thread to another member.
I was picturing the Lizzie's that live in our world now and knock on the door at the B&B or FRHS and say they are Lizzie, and dress like Lizzie.
I'd like to see that.
I also think of the recreated villages where everyone dresses in period and live and work in the colony, showing the way of life then.

I think you were wise in your decision.

I live in LaLa DisneyWorldLand Where there are Characters eveywhere.

We've got quite a few of them here in Boston. Once when my sister and I went to a coffee shop in Harvard Square there was a woman sitting at a table in a beautiful Chanel suit, with a saucepan on her head. No s**t. (I can't make this s**t up)
