I think that's what Lizzie said when the hatchet fell 19 times with Abby.

Don't know if this is an old joke but I like it:

Lizzie: "Father, have you seen my hatchet?"
Andrew: "No Lizzie, but I'll keep an eye out for it."

Gee, this "Oops" thread did better than the "Chatterbox" mag. info which I had accidently put here first.  (It WAS 5:30 a.m., or some odd hour!)  Figures!  We Bordenites go off into the strange, and Love it...we eventually wander back again

I've been lurking.  Haven't forgot about y'all.  Got my own very own copy of Brown and Lincoln, Rays.  Free!! I've been dissecting them.  The books, that is. And my new job is director of the local public library, so if there is anything out there on dear old Liz, I have the resources to find them.  Anything I can locate for you, just lemme know.

In 1965 I read a fairly new book "Trial of Lizzie Borden" (?) that may have been published in 1963 (?). How far back do your titles go?
I don't remember much, just that the conclusion was that Lizzie did Abby, Bridget did Andy, and they were in cahoots. No proof of this.

Since Edmund Pearson's book was published in 1935, a new version would extend the copyright for another 28 years (?).

(?) indicate questions - no book at hand.

Hey Joe,
That request of Ray's is from his Wish List, c. 2000.
Here's the Bibliography link to the LABVM/L to get you started in your hunt.  Good luck, and leave a trail of breadcrumbs so we can come find you later on?

Hey!
I'll find what books I can, Kat.
Rays, I sure wish you could come closer to the title or author.  I find nothing in the bibl. section of the forum that was done in the timeframe c. 1965.  I know you've racked your brain trying to come up with the name of the book.
