I missed the contest, I guess because it isn't EST like I am here in NY.

Just had to add the mistakes I noticed, for the record, aside from those already mentioned and corrected correctly.

1. "But 10 minutes later she was roused from her attic bedroom by Lizzie's screams: "Someone has come in and killed him!"

Actually, I believe, Lizzie said "Maggie, come down!" and only mentioned the murder after Bridget asked "What's the matter?".

2. As Dr. Bowen responded, so did a nosy neighbor, Mrs. Adelaide Churchill. The trio burst into the rear parlor to find the ghastly remains of Andrew Borden.

Dr. Bowen was out when Bridget went to get him.  She left word with Mrs. Bowen.

3. With Bridget's return, accompanied by Lizzie's pal, Alice Russell...

Actually, when Bridget returned without Dr. Bowen, Lizzie sent her to fetch Alice Russell.

4. The miserly banker had been struck dead with 10 bloody blows from an ax

11 blows for Andrew

5. As Dr. Bowen responded, so did a nosy neighbor, Mrs. Adelaide Churchill.

As previously mentioned, Dr. Bowen was away from home.  Lizzie called Mrs. Churchill over after Mrs. C. noticed Lizzie at the back entrance to 92 Second Street and yelled to her inquiring what was going on.

6. With Bridget's return, accompanied by Lizzie's pal, Alice Russell

Bridget did not return with Alice Russell.  Miss Russell arrived later.

7. With Bridget's return, accompanied by Lizzie's pal, Alice Russell, the group checked the upstairs bedroom and found Mrs. Abby Borden, also hacked to death, from a stunning overkill of 19 blows.

It was just Bridget and Mrs. Churchill who searched and quickly found Mrs. Borden.  Again, just 18 blows.

8. The D.A. indicted Lizzie for murder.

It was Judge Blaisdell of the Second District Court who indicted Lizzie.

9. So Emma had never suffered the ghastly food (?) poisoning that had hit the entire Borden household the night before the murders.

This just hit me, and I am curious, did John Morse suffer food poisoning?  If not, why not???

10. when the 50ish Lizzie took up with a traveling actress, Nance O'Neil, whose unconventional lifestyle appalled shy Emma

This is an assumption.  We are not sure why Emma moved out.  It is assumed she was offended by Lizzie's relationship with Nance O'Neil

11. She moved out on her own, her kid sister calling after her, "You wouldn't last a week without me around!"

I don't think it's ever been mentioned that she said this, much less proven.

12. Both sisters left the bulk of their estates to bird sanctuaries to take care of their sweet, innocent pigeons.

Lizzie left a bulk of her estate to animal causes, Emma to humanitarian causes.

I think that's all I have except the fact that this article leaves out Lizzie's claim of eating pears in the barn while her father and stepmother were murdered.

Hello Anet!
As t o your question about Morse and food poisoning:
It was generally believed that What the Borden's ate Tuesday is what made them sick, Tuesday night.
Tuesdays menu was swordfish, and (of course, later) warmed-over swordfish.
Alice supposedly said that twice-warmed fish was bad for one's health.
Morse ate of the mutton stuff on Wednesday, late dinner.
It's a good question.
And I want to know why he ate there at all, with talk of stomach upsets all 'round?
