I'm finding some new Lizzie sites by doing a search on Altavista.

The fact is that Nathan Hale was hanged, not shot. For sabotage, etc.
Some say Hale would be called a "terrorist" due to the fires set in New York. Destroying enemy stores and supplies is what Sherman's troops did in Atlanta. Standing orders in 1777? were to hang any man found speaking with a Connecticut accent. "What They Didn't Teach You about the American Revolution"?
...
There is no last words of General Custer; reportedly he said "We've got them". There is a last note sent to the other troops. Basically it said something like "Bring lots of ammunition, and more troops - Fast". A good book has the details.
