A Curous Photo Session

The Fall River Globe, July 27, 1893: A Party Said To Be the Borden Sisters and Mr Morse - This morning two women and an elderly man called upon Peter Huard, a photographer on Pleasant street, to have a tin type of them taken in a group.

The man bore a striking resemblance to John V. Morse, while the ladies were taken for the Borden sisters. The one that was taken for Lizzie told Mr. Huard that she was going to California for a few months and desired him to group them in the best position to express a leave-taking.

Accordingly, the oldest of the women, whom he thought to be Emma, was placed on a chair to the left of Lizzie, who was in an upright position The better to express the sorrow one was supposed to feel in losing the companionship of her younger sister, he gave Emma a handkerchief to hold to her eyes with her left hand, while with the right, she held her sister's left. The old man sat to the right, and in his left hand, held his stick while with his right, he shaded his eyes.

There was a photographer named Pierre Huard listed in the 1893 directory at 214 Pleasant.
