The Picture Above the Setee

Post by WFordII »

I've looked at many enhancements of AJB' death scene, trying to figure out the painting above the setee. Does anyone know if it was a painting or lithograph? It appears to be a landscape but I can't tell. Any ideas, friends?

J. Duthie, “The Village Elms, Sunday Morning in New England”- circa 1878. A print of this artwork was hanging above the couch in the sitting room, over the place of Andrew Borden’s demise. After painstaking investigation, the blurry image from the crime scene photograph was definitively identified as this work by historians Len Rebello and Bill Pavao—LizzieAndrewBorden website, galleries.
