Robinson Cousins in 1880 U.S. Census

Post by nbcatlover »

Found in Warren, Rhode Island. George, Edson, and Percy named in Lizzie's will (see Rebello, pg. 339).

Record implies Hannah F. Robinson was previously married to a Horton. Note the 82-year-old Anthony aunt. It would seem more research needs to be done here.

Thanks That's good!
However, if Hannah (age 34) was previously married in order to be the mother of Mary Horton (age 20), she would only have been 14.
How else might they be related?

Rufus could have had another wife which, frankly, I would prefer. It would be so much simpler if Hannah's surname was Borden.

I remember trying to research Rufus before. I think he was born in Swansea, and hitting a brick wall at the time. I couldn't find the "cousin" link with Lizzie. That's why it was so exciting to me to find the census data with the "cousins" in Warren and their ages.

Gives me new places to churn through data.

Also, I found a Spanish American War record for an Edson M. Robinson with the 8th Ohio Volunteers. They went to Cuba in 1898--which by the data above is a possible for above. However, there was another family of Robinsons (Royal Robinson?) which he could be related to.
