Here's an interesting source of family data on Lizzie's attorney:

A historical sketch of the Robinson family of the line of Ebenezer Robinson, a soldier of the revolution: Born at Lexington, Mass., Feb. 14th, 1765. Died at South Reading, Vt., Oct. 31, 1857
By Jane Marie Bancroft, George Orville Robinson
Published by Speaker printing company, 1903
Original from the University of Michigan

64 pages

It's found online on Google Books. Unfortunately, the URL doesn't work when typed in. Search on Google: historical sketch ebenezer robinson

I've found 2 online references to George's birth name being George Washington Robinson (unverified), but it was not unusual for men to adopt their father's middle name, when their father died. That, however, may explain why it's so hard to find info on him.

It's interesting to note that Robinson is also descended from a Morse line. He comes out of the Joseph Morse line from Ipswich, MA. To my knowledge, this line is not related to the Anthony Morse line of Newbury, MA from which Lizzie is a descendant. It's just another curiousity in the case.

His portrait and grave are on FindAGrave. He's buried with his second wife, Susan, and his son and daughter-in-law.
