Yep, no historically minded person would be so reckless in mindlessly exercising obtuse disregard.    :cyclopsani: :pig: :geek: :viking: :spiderman: :rendeer: :cat: :batman: :albino: :dwarf: :alcohol:

MB, thank you for posting these awesome snow scenes! There are a lot of beautiful things to see in this world, and one of them is after a freshly fallen snow.

How inches of snow has Fall River gotten this year?

Yes Twins:

We have received just short of 6 feet of snow. 70 inches.

It is not the amount of snow that we received this season but the short amount of time we received it.

All the snow fell in 5 weeks. From January 26 to March 5th. Snow fall season here in Southeast NE is between 2nd week in November to middle March.

So we received 16 weeks of snow in 5 weeks. Though there is no snow forecast for the next 7 days.

Wow, that's a lot of snow in a 5 week period of time!!! Does this amount of snow break a record for Fall River?

The snow storms in the New England area this year reminds me of the snow storms I remember as a child. My siblings and I had to walk to school and our country roads in the winter looked like this:

As many of you well know I have been very verbal about the satellite dish on the roof of Maplecorft's front porch.

The question I often asked was "what sort of dolt places such a vulgar and unsightly apparatus on the face of an historical house.

At times my complaint may have been very abrasive and somewhat harassing to some. Sorry about that. Couldn't help myself.

As a matter of fact, I still can't help myself.

It was not my intention to stress anyone, but a way of letting off steam for an unruly neighbor's shameless disregard for the past an all things precious.

Well today was a good day.

Today MAPLECROFT received retribution for a blatant transgression. And I got to administer a sort of archival and historical revenge.

With that I climbed on the roof of Lizzie's porch and ripped the dang dish off the roof.

No more dish.
