Thank you, Patsy, for sharing this article with us. I think the new owner is a gem for not only wanting to restore Maplecroft, but has actually taken the action to restore the house back to it's original state. Kudos to her!!!

Does anyone know if Maplecroft has been restored? I heard the owner changed her mind and didn't wish to open it to the public after all.

Yes, Twokeets, there has been a lot of restoration done to Maplecroft. Following are a couple of threads in which Mbhenty, kindly posted Maplecroft's new exterior look.

This thread contains a pic of Mbhenty removing that ugly satellite dish, which sat on the front porch roof of Maplecrof. It also has some pics of the beautiful landscaping that has been done around Maplecroft’s exterior. Maplecroft: http://tinyurl.com/zosswva

This thread contains several pics of the restored Maplecroft. Salvation of Maplecorft; http://tinyurl.com/gugbwhh

I don't know how much restoration has been done on the interior of the house, although it is my understanding that there has been work done there also.
