Time Problems

Dear all,
The times have been off for days now, due to the fact that time is figured by the server's time zone! The server is located in -8 GMT while I am in -5 GMT. Plus it is Daylight Savings Time here which moves those numbers down one to -7 and -4. Math is not my strongest suit and time zones really flummox me!
Anyway, I have to set the time zone for the board to coincide with all of this. The time zone for the board then, until Fall that is, will be -11. It makes no sense to me but using this converter made that my choice:
