This is the place to discuss the city and the locality of the murders and the surrounding area --- both present and past.

Click the link below for a photo of me at Fort Phoenix, Fairhaven, MA, that appeared in this morning's New Bedford Standard-Times. This is what I look like now that the beard is gone. (I'll redraw my avatar sometime.)

I love the hat! And the chin, of course!
What an amazing picture, it's beautiful. You're doing a much better job at posing than some of the "next topmodels". I'm impressed!

Looking good, Chris. Did you get to fire the cannon?

Two weekends ago at sunset on September 9, our group fired the cannons, but I was on the microphone describing the loading and firing procedure to the audience.

A five man crew fires the guns and we rotate duty on the actual touching off of the fuse. I fired them a couple of years ago, but usually I call the play-by-play for the crowd.

Thanks, Harry, for actually dragging the photo over here to the forum.

As far as the beard goes, I'd had it for more than twenty years. Lori and I celebrated our 9th anniversary on Thursday. She had NEVER seen my whole face. Neither, of course, had our daughter.

Thank you Harry! And thanks Christopher!

If you are making fire, I think they could use you on Survivor!
