Yes, I know it's late notice, but tomorrow--Saturday, September 26, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. I will be guiding a walking tour of the historical center of Fairhaven. The tour is free and lasts about 90 minutes. It begins at Leonard E. Pierce Park, which is opposite 105 Fort Street, for those of you who use route-mapping programs. (The park is also two blocks south of the Visitors Center.)
I must note that for the last couple of days I've been battling allergies, so the narration might be punctuated by snuffling. . .
And looking ahead, I will be guiding a tour of Riverside Cemetery on Sunday, October 11, at 2:00 p.m. The grave site of Eli Bence will be one of the stops on that tour.
