Makes you wonder if Lizzie on those times she chose not to eat with the family, sneaked over to the Mellen House. Didn't see any tripe or orange sherbert on the menu though.

We'll never know using the clocks around here. It a good thing that City Hall clock wasn't linked to whatever we've got operating this thing

all that I could read on that menu was the Plum
Sherbert, sounds good to me. The time thing
is weird, says my last posts are way past my bedtime, lol, that couldn't have been me!

Maybe the leg of mutton is improved by the caper sauce. (Or you caper your way out to the privy in the middle of the night. )
Very cool piece of history, Harry--and only a couple of months after the
event!

Taken from the ROOF of the Hotel Mellen, c. 1910-20, looking at the Fall River Line dockage.

Very cool, Harry! Was this one of the ladie's menus? I don't see any prices listed on it? I've only been to a couple of La-di-dah types of restaurants where I was handed a menu sans prices and it felt so old fashioned to me. The chicken and beef rib dishes sound good to me.
