Thanks! I actually like the painting...it has a feeling of ennui...
I never go to e-bay lizzie, so appreciate you bringing back these oddities.

In the collage, it looks like Poe in the oval miniature, hmmm....

Yes Kat:

There are always whacky and interesting items on ebay. Some sellers are looking to cash in big time on Lizzie.

Someone just posted a cabinet card on the forum of supposedly "Lizzie" which he found on ebay. It's in the thread below and taken from the "Lizzie Andrew Borden" window above.

Here you go :-?

On ebay as we speak.

A prop key to the murder room at the B&B.

Or as the seller describes it, "Supernatural Lizzie Borden Museum Key."

Sounds important and valuable, heh?

Movie item. They don't tell you which movie.

Nine Hundred and Seventy Five dollars. ($975.00)

Yep... :alcohol:

Understand. This is not a Borden Key, not antiquity, not original, it is a movie prop key.

Come now! Really?

:pirat:

Lizzie Borden, the woman of many faces.

For sale on ebay as we speak. Pirates, pirates, pirates.

Makes one want to yawn with borden, I mean, boredom.

Lizzie Borden, not Lizzie Borden.

And after trying to pawn this photo off on the public as being Lizzie Borden, for nearly 600 dollars, they want 10 dollars for postage.

Lizzie related items you find on ebay.

Like a plaque of Lizzie lunging at someone. Since she lost her axe she has taken to a dagger.

Or, Japanese Lizzie, straight from Japan. Not certain what in the world that is all about. :?: :-?

And finally a Lizzie Borden look-alike, which as is common and looks nothing like Lizzie. Some of these sellers think every woman or girl from the 1800s resembles Lizzie. Hence is a practice in ignorance, or perhaps srewed marketing. (click image to make huge. At least that is what my 10 year old grandson tells me :cyclopsani: )

Ebay offering

Thanks, that attic art is weird but interesting! I don’t know how you find these things! (Does yr grandson help?)
It says “Lizzie Borden in the attic” but it looks like it’s combined with a tornado like Dorothy in “The Wizard of Oz.” The 2 bandaids imply she was wounded somehow. She has no nose!

Trying to figure out that second pic on the left…(?)

:-?

Ok, here we go.

This photo of "Circus Lizzie", I call her, was on ebay over 2 years ago. (it is listed in a post somewhere above)

This is the site for the company that is authenticating it. (Talk about placing your reputation on line.)

Who does the research for them? Do they even care, or are they that unqualified? Would you employee this authenticator? Me thinks not :!:

Almost laughable, since it does not take an expert or historical specialist to ID this photo as not Lizzie Borden. What's wrong with this company? Are they that incompetent?

Not only does the phyisical attributes behind the image lack any likeness, there is no history that proves that Lizzie was ever in the entertainment business. Or was she just dressed up for Halloween?

The site states that part of their research has to do with what is written on the back of the photo, although they do not display it. I don't care what is says on the back of the photo card. Even if the writing is period. What an awful company to use as your aficionado. Following must be their staff of experts.  :alien: :pig: :clown: :cyclopsani: :pirat: :alcohol:
