Another Mystery Solved by eBay

Post by Edisto »

In addition to the items I mentioned on another thread, I note that a seller on eBay just may have the solution to how Lizzie could have managed to hack two people to bits and stayed virtually blood-free. This person is selling a "reprint" of Ed McBain/Evan Hunter's book on the case. The title reads:

"Lizzie by Ed McBain (1985) Lizzie Borden Shrink Wrapped."

Aha! She just had herself shrink-wrapped, whacked away merrily, and rinsed herself off. Perfect solution. (I didn't realize the shrink-wrap process existed in 1892.)

Incidentally, I can't imagine that anybody would want to buy a used book that had been wrapped so that it couldn't be examined for defects. This one has bids though.
"To lose one parent...may be regarded as misfortune; to lose both looks like carelessness."
-Oscar Wilde ("The Importance
of Being Earnest," 1895)

That's pretty funny, Edisto!
I'm having trouble though not imagining Liz Montgomery doing the deed wrapped like that...
