Lizzie Borden - The Board Game

Post by LizzieB_board_game »

Hello!!
Best True Crime Games LLC is currently creating "Lizzie Borden's Ghost- The Board Game."
The game will be available in 2024.
Here is more information:
The game takes place in Fall River, Mass. In 1927, immediately after the natural death of Elizabeth “Lizzie” Andrew Borden, the main suspect in the August 4, 1892, ax murders of her father and stepmother. One player takes the role of Lizzie Borden. The remaining take the roles of City Marshal, Judge, Neighbor, and News Reporter, called the “Seekers.” The Seekers move room to room while picking up Victorian-age equipment to capture Lizzie’s ghost as it travels the scene of the crime: the Borden home.
The Seekers move openly across the game board, which is a map of the first and second floors, back and front yards of the Borden home, Massachusetts, circa late 1800s. Seekers gather Victorian age equipment for capturing Lizzie’s ghost. The Seekers move room to room only by using marked doorways.
Each room and noted areas have a “Hot Spot,” or haunting. Lizzie moves in secret using the Hot Spot location cards. By various means, the Seekers attempt to deduce and uncover Lizzie’s location, overcoming obstacles she has placed along the way called “Rumors.”
The game is currently in design. The creative team is an all-female team.

Sounds like a lot of fun! But Lizzie wasn't short for Elizabeth. She was Lizzie Andrew Borden. After the trial she began to go by Lizbeth, which is also on her grave stone.
