What do you see?

Post by Mark A. »

Please take a look at the attached photo and tell me what you see. It's a photo of Lizzie's grave that I took last August while doing some research in Oak Grove Cemetery. The photo is as I took it. It has not been retouched, Photoshopped or any had any alterations made to it. As soon as I downloaded the memory card into my computer and checked to see how the photos came out as I usually do, I noticed something in this one. I'm just wondering if anyone else sees it.
Now don't get me wrong. I'm the biggest skeptic when it comes to spooky photos and the like but I see something in this one. My wife says I have rocks in my head. She could be right.
After this post gets a few replies, I'll post a copy of the same photo outlining what I see.

I see the shadow of a woman in a dress and a very fancy hat, and it looks like she is holding something, a mailbox or large bag?

It may just be my morbid mind at work, but that read in the picture around the gravestone looks like smears of blood to me.

I see the woman in the hat, but I also see a "handleless hatchet" in the shadow on the upper right hand side...near the top.

Like Scott, I see a shadow in the outline of a woman standing behind the stone.

Sort of reminiscent of Lizzie standing behind the chair at Newport.

I see a figure about to get bopped on the head with a hatchet. I labeled the parts of what I see on this photo. If that helps. The person is lying on it's back with it's left hand raised as if to block a blow from the hatchet coming from the lower right of the photo.
O.K., maybe my wife is right. I just might have rocks in my head!

This photo might better show what I mean. I hope the outline comes out.

It's fun!
When I saw the cat paw print, Jimmy, I thought: "I am doing a Rorschach test- I have a cat who is ill and I see a cat paw!"

Nice to see you back!

That picture is great. I see the woman with old fashioned styled dress on with a hat. I see a hatchet too, she is holding it as if she were left handed (and ready to take a swing at someone). Was Lizzie left handed??
