I am working on sorting through and organizing my genealogy and photos. This has always been a favorite picture of mine. I don't know the exact date. My grandpa always said it was late 1800's. That is his father (my great grandfather) in the back on the left. The other man would be a gr gr uncle, the other ladies gr gr aunts and cousins to me.

Was it the name? Great Aunt Lizzie apparently had a bit of a temper and was known to throw butcher knives at her husband. He was quicker than her as my grandpa said his uncle would run out the door when she picked up the knife. They would stick in the door as it closed safely behind him. She had been married twice before, both husbands died, make me wonder....

The skeletons in our closets are much more interesting than the saints!

That is a great picture Elizabeth Ann! I like looking at old pictures I think they are fascinating. I've posted a few of mine because I was hoping someone could help me with the date, and I just enjoy sharing them. I can see why this picture has been one of your favorites. I liked the story that went along with it also. I would be interested in seeing more of your pictures if you decided to post them, along with anymore interesting stories you might share, and thank you for sharing this one.

I love old pictures as well. This is the oldest picture I have. It's of my great- great-grandmother on the left and her mother on the right. This would be about the time of the Civil War. I love the clothing! Both my husband and I have lots of old family photos.

I think that hair style is what makes that one of my favorite old photos. I can't imagine maintaining something like that. Or wearing clothes like that on a daily basis!

Great photos, Kash.

You two could be twins! Was she from the Bah-ston area?

And fool enough to think that's what I'll find
