Happy Thanksgiving to all. Special greetings to Curryong and anyone else who isn't here in the US.

Curryong, you can eat some of those Australian prawns, dripping with butter, and think about us eating turkey and cranberries. :color:

My sincere wishes that everyone has a great day. I hope you see someone you love that you don't get to see often-- I hope joyful tears spring to your eyes at some point, or that you have a lump in your throat... Whether your meal be plain or fancy, your dinnerware cheap or expensive -- remember this. You are in a position to have access to the Internet to read this message. So you probably have a home, clean drinking water and a couple extra bucks to splurge on the WWW. You have a lot more to be thankful for than you realize. We all do. Many of those reasons are right here!

XOXOXOXOX

Peace and love...

We had an awesome day!

My husband owns his own business, and he was scheduled to work yesterday, so I went with him. We had the job done in no time, then we went home, changed our clothes, grabbed the dishes we had prepared the evening before, and then drove for 1 1/2 hours to his sister’s house in northern Wisconsin. Although, we there were a couple of family members who couldn't make it, we did have the pleasure of meeting our nephew's new girlfriend. She is a lovely person, and we wish the two of them the best. We had a feast that would have made the Pilgrims mouths water! It was an absolutely delicious dinner!

Believe it or not, I thought of you, Curryong; I hope you also had a wonderful day even though you don't celebrate Thanksgiving.

I am glad the weather didn't interfere! All my peeps got here ahead of the storm we had-- which didn't turn out to be too bad-- but the roads were slick during peak driving time!

It all sounds wonderful. So there was no snow or ice, anywhere? Everybody full to the brim? Thank you twins for remembering the foreigner left out while you were celebrating! I can well imagine the Pilgrim Fathers looking down unbelievingly at all the food. When they were around it was probably a slice of wild turkey and a corn cob to chew on!

Believe it or not, I too was out last night, not celebrating Thanksgiving obviously, but a Christmas party with workmates. I had a chicken Hawaiian parma, raspberry tart with cream and two glasses of champagne. My daughter, son in law and the twins turned up too, so it was a good night!

You're welcome Curryong, I hate the thought that you were left out. However, it sounds as though you had a great time in spite of that!

I stuffed myself! It never ceases to amaze me that after a Thanksgiving meal served at noon, I can be so full, and yet by evening I am able to eat again!

We did not run into any snow yesterday, but over night, we got a covering of snow and was it ever slippery going to work this morning! We must have gotten rain before the snow, otherwise it wouldn't have been as slick as it was.

We had a great day! Lamb here instead of turkey (haven't had turkey on Thanksgiving or Christmas in 4 years!) but it was good. Glad y'all had a great day and didn't have weather issues. Just cold and sunny here.
