We've forgotten Chad Everett of "Medical Center," who died the week before this. He was the last contract player at MGM, and can be seen in some of their movies from the early to mid 1960s. The last time I saw him in anything was an episode of "Cybill," and the "silver fox" look suited him well.

We've overlooked Marvin Hamlisch.

Treasure my original cast recordings of "A Chorus Line" and "They're Playing Our Song." On vinyl!

BTW: Vinyl records, playing on a decent stereo system, are far superior to CDs in sound quality.

Phyllis died "peacefully in her sleep" at her Los Angeles home Monday morning. Her son, Perry, "found her with a smile on her face," manager Milt Suchin said. No cause of death has yet been released.

Phyllis Diller leaves a fantastic legacy. She was a true comedy legend, who will be greatly missed.

Rest in peace, Phyllis.

Phyllis Diller made a guest appearance, along with Sandra Bernhard, on Roseanne's reality program, "Roseanne's Nuts," last year. She looked very much herself, and the trio went out for dinner and cocktails (Phyllis quaffed a Tanqueray martini or two). Somehow, the conversation turned to vaginal "restructuring," to which Phyllis quipped, "What does that mean? You put an awning over it?" All the zip was still there, and then some-- she let loose with her trademark laugh several times. The show was filmed on the Big Island of Hawaii, where Roseanne now resides, so P.D. was obviously still able to travel and have a good time, at least up until this past year.

His wife, Claudine, recorded a pretty little song called, "Hello, Hello" back in '67. Susan Cowsill recorded it in the early '70s but Claudine's is much better. I never cared for "Moon River" until I heard Audrey Hepburn singing it. My Mom was a fan of Andy Williams.

Thanks Judy. It feels good to be able to post again. I missed all you "Lizzie Rats."

A friend played that song, "Hello, Hello" for me in 1971 and I always felt it was Susan Cowsill who sang it but I could not find any of their songs with "Tangerine" in the title. Someone a couple years ago told me the song was "Hello, Hello" by Claudine Longet. It was the song but not the voice and when I went back through the Cowsills recordings there it was. It was Susan Cowsill I originaly heard. Strange how things come about.

Claudine Longet was involved in a shooting in the '70s that ruined her career. She was Andy Williams wife at the time.

Too bad about Phyillis Diller. She made me laugh growing up. I remember her TV show. She once said, "My car is so small that everytime I run over a piece of bubble gum I have to shift into low gear." She was cool!

Your welcome, Steve.

Here is a better video of Claudine Longet, sing "Hello, Hello" – the lyrics are below… (remember the old 45 RPM records where you needed an adapter?)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e2W2j_bW ... re=related

Hello, hello
I like your smile
Hello, hello
Shall we talk awhile.

Would you like some of my tangerine
I know I'd never treat you mean.

Never knew how I'd meet you
Didn't know how to greet you
When I saw you look that way
I knew I had to say hello, hello.

Always longed to say I love you
Always been too high above you
Now you're not so far away
Now at last I can say.

Hello, hello
You got pretty hair
Hello, hello
Can't you tell I care.

Would you like some of my tangerine,
You know I'd never treat you mean, oh, no
You know I'd never treat you mean.

I remember also when it hit the press that she had MS. It's a sad day, may she rest in peace.

That's correct, Robin!

Michael and Barbara had a son named Matthew in 1965. On June 25, 2001, Matthew was found dead in his pickup truck outside a filling station in suburban Los Angeles, the result of an accidental heroin overdose. He was 35 years old.

The 1st Photo is of Michael, Barbara, and Matthew in their younger days. The 2nd photo is of Matthew as an adult.

This is probably largely of local interest (unfortunately), but announcer Lloyd Moss of New York classical music radio station WQXR died on Saturday at the age of 86. He had a wonderful sense of humor. Perhaps my favorite example: he introduced a piece in F Major and remarked that a work played earlier "was also in F Major and probably still is."

Let's not forget actress Karen Black and singer Eydie Gormé.
