Raymond Allen was a TV character actor who starred as Uncle Woody on "Sanford and Son" and Ned the Wino on "Good Times", died on August 10, 2020, from a respiratory illness. He was 91.

Ben Cross, was a British actor best known for starring as Harold Abrahams in "Chariots of Fire" and Sarek in "Star Trek (2009)", died on August 18, 2020, at the age of 72 after a short illness.

Edna Wright, lead singer of the female vocal trio Honey Cone, known for their 1971 hit "Want Ads", died on September 12, 2020, from a heart attack at the age of 75.

W.S. "Fluke" Holland, was an American drummer who played with Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash. He died at his home in Jackson, Tennessee on September 23, 2020 at the age of 85.

Timothy Ray Brown, the first person who was known to have been cured of HIV infection, died on September 29, 2020, at his home in Palm Springs, California of leukemia at the age of 54.

Mac Davis, singer-songwriter who had a No. 1 hit in 1972 with "Baby, Don't Get Hooked on Me" and wrote hit songs for other artists including Elvis Presley's "In the Ghetto", died on September 29, 2020, following heart surgery, at the age of 78.

Helen Reddy, an Australian-American singer, actress and activist, died on September 29, 2020, in Los Angeles, at the age of 78. She suffered from Addison’s disease and dementia in her later years.

Bonni Lou Kern was an original Mouseketeer who appeared on the first season (1955-56) of the popular Disney children's show The Mickey Mouse Club. She was featured in the episode titled “Save Bonni Lou Kern!” in which the 14-year-old girl was caught in a fishing net. She also appeared in the spinoff film Save the Wonder Mouseketeers!, and she was given the Mousecar Award by Disney which is the highest honor awarded by the Company. She died on September 28, 2020, from natural causes at an assisted living facility in Wooster, OH., at the age of 79.

Eddie Van Halen, guitarist and founder of the Van Halen band, died at the age of 65, on October 6, 2020, at Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, California, from throat cancer.

Johnny Nash, was a singer best known for his number one hit song "I Can See Clearly Now" in 1972, died at his home of natural causes in Houston, Texas, on October 6, 2020, after a period of failing health. He was 80 years old.

Conchata Ferrell, who portrayed Berta for all 12 seasons of the hit sitcom, Two and a Half Men, died on October 12, 2020, from complications following a cardiac arrest at the Sherman Oaks Hospital in Sherman Oaks, California. She was 77 years old.

Actress and singer Rhonda Fleming died on October 14th at the age of 97 of aspiration pneumonia. She was known as "the queen of Technicolor." Some of her best-known films are Spellbound, The Spiral Staircase, Out of the Past, A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court and The Great Lover.

Jerry Jeff Walker, Texas singer and songwriter who wrote 'Mr. Bojangles,' died on October 23, 2020, after a years-long fight against throat cancer, at the age of 78.

James Redford, filmmaker and Robert Redford's son, died at his home in Marin County, on October 16, 2020, from bile-duct cancer in his liver. He was only 58.

I liked him. He was a classy actor. "Shaken not Stirred" died today. He was 90 years old.

You’re right MB, I had forgotten about his comments about slapping a woman. Thank you for posting the article with a video. I found it interesting, mainly because he wasn't someone I was ever into; the James Bond movies were not my cup of tea.

Men who are abusive to women, feel inferior to strong willed women, so they slap them in order to feel they are in control. Some men don’t feel macho without slapping around a much weaker person; guess they think it makes them a man, when in fact it just makes them an abuser of women.

Thanks for posting this, MB. I found out that he died following a prolonged battle with pancreatic cancer, at the age of 80.

Yes Twins:

Diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer, one is given a year to live. The chances of living two to five years after diagnoses is less than one percent. Add to that his age and......well

He was on the same treatment as former Nevada senator Harry Reid who has suffered from Pancreatic cancer, also. Both men were in their 80s and both men received the same experimental treatment. Harry Reid is doing well. Last year he looked like a walking dead man. I saw him on TV just last week and he looked remarkably good. Faith plays us differently.

I didn't realize that once you are are diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer, you only have about a year to live.

You are so right in saying that "faith plays us differently"; we never know when our time on this earth is up.

Frank Carney, co-founder of Pizza Hut, passed away on December 2, 2020, in an assisted living facility in Wichita, Kansas, from pneumonia. He was 82.

Kiri died this week. She was only 65.

Oh yes, Kiri was a character she played in the movie The Beastmaster with Marc Singer, as she is seen in the photo below.
