Does anyone remember what the Fizzy Lizzy drink label looked like before ? I'm sure it had a woman on it that had a Victorian dress on. The label now has no woman on it.

You are correct; it did have a woman on it. However, the dress she is wearing doesn't appear to be from the Victorian Era.

Is this picture of the Fizzy Lizzy label you mentioned?

Yep that's it. I guess I was just thinking it was a Victorian dress. I hope they never took that woman off the label because of me. I emailed Fizzy Lizzie a few years ago asking if they sold the drink in Canada. They emailed back saying "not yet" and they asked how I heard about their product. I told them I was interested in the Lizzie Borden case and that the woman on the label made me think of Lizzie. They never answered me back.

I did a Google search to try and find out when the label had changed, but all I found was that it has changed several times since the year of 2000. However, I did find the following information from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

Fizzy Lizzy is a Manhattan-based producer of carbonated juice drinks. Founded in 2000 by Elizabeth Morrill, Fizzy Lizzy follows "a purist's approach: just juice, carbonated water and only the smallest amount of natural flavorings and 'filler' juices, like white grape juice." Starting with four flavors and local distribution, they now produce nine drinks and sell throughout the US.

Founder Elizabeth Morrill may not have appreciated her logo being associated with Lizzie Borden, since her drink follows ‘a purist's approach’. Guess, it all depends on what she believes to be true about our Lizzie. I highly doubt that the original label was changed because of you mentioning Lizzie Borden, but then again, I could be totally wrong.

The closest Distibuter I could find at that time was in Washington State. I don't remember the name of store now. I know they had the woman on the label a few years ago when Stefani mentioned Fizzy Lizzy either on the Forum or on Mondo. That was the first I heard of it.

Well, I hadn’t heard about Fizzy Lizzy until you posted this topic. I could be wrong, but it doesn’t appear to be a very popular drink.

It would probably sell well at the B and B.

I sent an email to Fizzy Lizzy, telling them that I liked the label with the woman on it. They said that they are considering a label change and that they might bring the woman back.

Right now all I can do is drink from my gothic etched Lizzie glass, from bar ware for sale, living dead dolls.

That would be cool if the woman on the label were brought back! I know they are only considering a change at this point, but did they happen to say when they thought they'd be making this change?

BTW: I like your gothic etched Lizzie glass!

Yah, when I first saw the Fizzy Lizzie bottles with that name and the woman on the label, I wanted to try some.

I agree, with a name like that, who wouldn't want to try it?
