Bonnie and Clyde met their end 80 years ago today, May 23rd 1934.

Wow, 80 years ago, and these two people still draw us to their lives and death. Clyde was only 25 years old and was was killed instantly. However, before Bonnie died, she screamed as she realized Clyde was dead; she was only 23 years old. What a waste a two lives!

I have a book somewhere that was written from Blanche Barrows notes after she died in 1988. I have only read part of it. It interesting as her friend found the stories after Blanche passed away and almost tossed the whole thing out without realizing what it was.

I agree, that would be a 'gold mine', wouldn't it? Who knows, a distance relative, of the Bordens, may have something like this in their possession. There is also the possibility that Bridget's family may also have something like this in their possession. We can hope, can’t we?

I have the same book! I started it but never finished it, so will need to start all over when I pick it up again. Wow, what a loss that would have been if her friend had thrown it away!

I read one on them called 'Running with Bonnie & Clyde' by Ralph Fults (sp?). A lot of it was on the Eastham Prison, where Clyde really did chop off two of his toes to get off of working, then got paroled like a week later.

I heard that one of the lawmen said that Bonnie screamed "like a panther". That's an interesting way to put it.

In the town where the shoot-outs occurred, they have an "Ambush Museum". Once a year people come from all over for a gathering, including some of B&C's relatives. I guess now they finally have a marker at the sight where they were killed.

I bought the newer book "Go Down Together" but haven't had time to read it yet.
