What an incredibly heartwarming story…

I stumbled across the following article, while doing some research. I just had to share this.

This reminds me of an "oldy-but-goody": (Though the article says the photo does not go with the story, it DOES say that the story is true.)

A man ... wants to give his wife ... the interest in a little homestead where her sister lives. How wicked to have found fault with it. How petty to have found fault with it. (Hosea Knowlton in his closing argument.)

The story I posted reminds me of Capitan, a German shepherd, who stood guard over his deceased owner’s grave for six years.

I know animals mourn the deaths of their own species, and dogs and cats will mourn over the death of a human being whom they love. The thing I found very usual was that these dogs were mourning over the death of a completely different species than their own.
