An encyclopedia not perfect

Post by Franz »

I bought an old encyclopedia in Italian for only 10 euro: Enciclopedia Universale Rizzoli-Larousse, Rizzoli, Milano, 1966-1975. In its 16 volumes you can find the entries like Landru or Rosenberg case, but you will not find Borden case, or Lizzie Borden. It is not a perfect encyclopedia !

Does anyone know an encyclopedia who contains Borden case?

That is so weird, Franz. How can an encyclopedia not have the Borden Murder case or Lizzie Borden in it? :shaking:

I don't know if these web sites will help, but...

No! it's not acceptable, it's a shame!

Thank you for your links. But now with internet all is easy to do. I mean a print version of encyclopedia. I will have a look at that Britanica one day.

I agree, Franz, it is a shame that an encyclopedia does not have anything about the Borden murders or Lizzie.

You're welcome for the links. I posted those links only to give you an idea of where you may look to find a copy in print. I could have suggested the Britannica, but I wanted to give you different options.

The New York Times, March 13, 2012: After 244 Years, Encyclopaedia Britannica Stops the Presses. Here is the link: http://tinyurl.com/lvgplb9

According to the article, the Encyclopaedia Britannica 32-volume 2010 edition, is the last print version. Following are a couple of places where this volume can be purchased.
