A Very Sad Passing of Anthony Martin

Post by Stefani »

I am deeply saddened to share the news that Anthony Martin passed away February 12.

A fund was started by his family to assist in the cost of funeral expenses: https://www.gofundme.com/52tmw3rq

Words cannot possibly express the way I feel right now. I am mourning his loss, which hit me very hard.

To all of you who were touched in some way by Anthony, and there are many, I share your grief. I hope he finds himself in a better place.

Warm hugs,
Stefani

Anthony's obit. It has been announced that he took his own life. In reading about his life, and the parts of his life he never let on about, he lost so many people in his family. And was the rock for others.

Thank you, Stefani for posting the link. He never let on with any of us, I don't think, that anything was wrong. May he rest in peace, now that he's with family.

Thank you for posting the link to Anthony's obituary, Stefani. Reading through his obit brought me to tears; it is such a heartwarming tribute to him. What a tender heart he had for his family and friends. May he rest in peace.

I am devastated reading this and will make a contribution to Anthony's funeral fund. Anthony Martin was exactly the kind of person we all hope to meet online, truly a good soul with wit and wisdom and a decency not always found on the internet. My dear step-brother died under similar circumstances a little over five years ago. He, too, was the 'rock' for his mother, sisters, kids and even his ex-wife. Sometimes the rocks of this world need their own rock, support for the supporter. I trust that Anthony has found peace in the next world that he couldn't find in this one.

As a newcomer to the Forum I've been reading round years of posts. Anthony's writing always stands out. One slows down, to pay full attention. Here is an insightful, intelligent mind with balanced views. Someone with real life-experience informing his ideas, and welcome good sense. The moment I saw his name I'd look forward to hearing him speak. I did not know him at all, but felt sure he was a kind, warm, and generous soul.
