A horrible murder case in China

Post by Franz »

From 1988 to 2002, in a small industrial city in the Western China, Baiyin, 8 young women and a little girl of 8 year old have been killed, some of them mutilated and raped, by a serial killer. The unknown murderer is named as “The Chinese Jack the Ripper”. The case has remained unsolved for many years, until one week ago, the police suddenly announced that they have arrested the suspect, thanks to the DNA evidence.

This is not all.

In 2013, in one of the biggest social platforms named Tianya Forum, someone posted a thread to discuss this case, at that moment still unsolved. In the past few years, this thread has become the most followed in the forum and the highest “building” in it, with so far more than 50,000 posts (in China we say “floor” for every following post). After the suspect being arrested, some people reexamined all the posts and…very convincingly…they pointed out that one poster (with different registered names but most probably used by the same person) might be the suspect himself. One of these names is …“The Monster Reappears”.

This is not all, either.

Now you can post new posts under this thread (or in this “building”), but at some time in 2015, this building was closed for unknown reason. Just before its temporary closure, “The Monster Reappears” logined for the last time, and someone else posted after one of his posts, saying: “The Monster Reappears”, you are anyone else but the killer! Etc. etc…. These two posts were among the very last ones just before the closure of the building (it has been reopened some months ago.) For what reason was this building closed? By the forum moderator or under the order of the police? Many questions...

I am anxiously waiting, with millions of Chinese, the suspect’s confession, if he makes any, about those suspicious posts in Tianya Forum.

Wow, Franz, “The Chinese Jack the Ripper” case, is not only horrific, but down right scary.

Thank you for posting the link in English for us. That article has a lot of disturbing information in it!

Please keep us posted if any information regarding those suspicious posts in the Tianya Forum comes up, or why that 'building' was closed down.
