??? Don't remember quoting this! Obviously, someone sent in a message in Vietnamese which was afterwards deleted.

I remember the original post, Constantine. The quote you posted above, was originally posted by a 'new member'. Stefani most likely deleted it along with the new member, because the content of the post looked suspicious.

I had no idea the message is in Vietnamese. What does the message say?

I haven't the foggiest idea. If anyone else does, I'd be interested to know. I won't lose any sleep over it though.

Just googled a translation site. Here's the SINISTER message:

Enjoy the famous steamed puffer fish dish of Da Thanh

Da Nang in the early days of December the chilly atmosphere of the last days of winter has rushed to bring sudden showers. With this weather, is it the right time to set foot in Danang? The full answer is "must come" offline. Da Nang on sunny days and rainy days is also beautiful, every sunny occasion - rain brings its own beauty, with sunshine Danang appears as a young, vibrant, passionate city. With the rain is a peaceful Danang, waving romantic and mature features over the years. On this occasion, coming to Da Nang is enjoying many delicious dishes, eating this cold and rainy season with the right taste of the dish. Da Nang 3-day-2-night tour from Ho Chi Minh City is provided by King Travel - a travel and travel agency - a pleasure to share with you an extremely suitable dining place for the rainy season at the end of the season. Ms. Xin's shop is located at a prime location K528 / 32 Ong Ich Khiem, Hai Chau District, Danang City. You can refer to here: (followed by the link, which is evidently defunct).

(As is usually the case with translation sites, the grammar of the translation is a trifle quaint.)

Interesting. Thank you for the translation, Constantine!
Stefani did the right thing by deleting the post, since the contents have nothing to do with Lizzie Borden or the Borden murders.

Maybe Lizzie tried to get some puffer fish to serve her parents? You know if it isn't prepared properly, it's deadly. Evidently all the Vietnamese and Japanese restaurants in Fall River were closed on that day. (Yeah, right!)

Yikes, Constantine! I don’t believe you could have picked a more lethal fish! Prussic acid, becomes very pale by comparison!

You may or may not be aware of the following information, but here are some interesting facts to ponder about the pufferfish:

How deadly is a puffer fish?

Almost all pufferfish contain tetrodotoxin, a substance that makes them foul tasting and often lethal to fish. To humans, tetrodotoxin is deadly, up to 1,200 times more poisonous than cyanide. There is enough toxin in one pufferfish to kill 30 adult humans, and there is no known antidote.

Is it safe to touch a puffer fish?

The puffer fish has the remarkable ability to expand its body extremely quickly when faced with danger, unavailing it's long poisonous spikes that cover its body. If a fisherman catches a puffer fish, they will never touch the spikes as they are highly toxic to humans and animals.

Is puffer fish safe to eat?

Pufferfish. ... The poison in one pufferfish is enough to wipe out 30 humans, and there's no known antidote. Yet, many people eat it. Called fugu in Japan, the meat of the pufferfish is a highly prized dish that is prepared by specially trained, licensed chefs. Even so, according to government figures, 30 to 50 people in Japan are hospitalized every year due to fugu poisoning.

Check out the other poisonous foods on that last site. Lima beans! Who'da thunk it! (Red kidney beans too! They must be thoroughly cooked. Imagine if Lizzie had known!)

(Actually, as this is "Stay to Tea," the posts don't have to be about Lizzie. Good thing we're sticking to the subject of mythical elements, isn't it?)

Well I can say Puffer Fish is not my mythical element. Still laughing, Constantine, since I read that you said, "Evidently all the Vietnamese and Japanese restaurants in Fall River were closed on that day." Hahaaa

Interesting links thanks, Twins. You're always so helpful.
