Never relinquish your guard and confess that you are bored.

Better yet, never surrender to it and instead always occupy you time, always. Even if you just count the indentations, dimples, and imperfections in your acoustical drop ceiling, or gaze out the window while counting the blades of grass in your yard. Read the labels off your canned goods. If all else fails there are books, books, and more books. Books should always be your primary defense to boredom.

The only persuasive justification for boredom is people.

I remember when I was 5 and learning to read, I would be eating my Jets cereal and reading everything on the box, and thankful to be doing so, vastly entertained.
What you posted led me to a wonderful memory.
