Lizze Borden test

Post by Harry »

I don't know if this web site has been posted recently. I know it was back in 2003. It's a 25 question test on the Borden case. Mostly multiple choice.

None of the choices in question 3 are correct. Answer 15 to get it correct.

When you see the answers note the percent that people got it right for each question.

Now that's interesting. There's really two answers to question number 7 there, and both are correct depending on the sources used. It's true that the grand jury handed down indictments on three counts of murder. But it's also true (if you read the text of the initial complaint filed by Rufus Hilliard - see Evening Standard of the 12th I believe it is) that the initial filing was on a single count of murder, perpetrated upon Andrew J. Borden. Abby Borden's death is not mentioned at all.

I did pretty good - missed just one...or two, because I said one count.

Notice the question about when Lizzie "bought" the poison, "On the morning of the murders." Those people ought to visit this site for some fact corrections.

I took Harry's advice about the number of whacks on Abby and clicked the wrong answer of 15 and got it right.

I got 100%
