Harper's and the Civil War

Post by Harry »

Lizzie said on the morning of the 4th, while waiting for her irons to heat, she sat reading an old Harper's magazine. I doubt if the magazines found at this site were included but they are a marvelous resource for those having an interest in the American Civil War.

Virtually every magazine cover, and selected articles, from 1861 to 1865, plus additional material. An awesome site for historians and Civil War buffs.

How wonderful. I have to save this site for my son. He is a WW2 and Civil War fanatic, and will love this site. He just left this past Monday for Iraq for his second tour of duty.

In the lower right hand corner of the page sometimes it will say "Next page". If you click that you will get another page.

My prayers go with your son, SallyG.
