That Poor Peacock

Post by 1bigsteve »

Have you all read about that peacock that was killed in NYC by that idiot claiming it was a vampire? For some reason I can't seem to get that poor bird out of my mind. It's hard to believe that people can be that mean and heartless. I love animals. I'd like to snap a knot in that guy's neck for hurting that poor bird.

For some reason, I didn't see this post until just now, 1bigsteve.

I didn't hear about this story, and I don't think I want to know the details... I love animals as well and I can't stand hearing about animal cruelty - makes me ill. It sounds like the perpetrator had some kind of serious delusional disorder.

I don't know about that either, bigsteve

There was once a peacock who took a shine to my neighbor's roof across the street. He'd strut around the yard but when anyone came near he'd jump on the roof. He hung around about a week.
I will tell you this- they make a Lot of noise!
Their call is raucous and after a while it can drive you crazy. It's irritating to live with. I wouldn't strangle one tho.
