My local paper has recently warned us about that one. It seems there is a scam behind every bush. I had a strange call yesterday from someone willing to collect bad debts owed me. He said he worked with some collection type company. Sounded fishy to me. You don't know who you are talking with any more or what angle they're working or how much information they can get to use against you when you say a simple, "No thank you, I'm not interested."
