Hey Shelley:

I checked out your site and came across a nice GREEN SANTA POSTCARD. The one with the children looking out the window. I have that card. I love the ones of Children spying on or watching SANTA our a window or from the top of a staircase.

I'm not a fan of Christmas but collected SANTA cards for a while. Had to quit since they were a little more than my budget could bear. The desirable Victorian cards in fine condition hover around 25 dollars and go up from there, with the real nice ones well into the hundreds. Though bargains of 3 to 10 dollars of real nice cards may be had. Beware of repos.

But VICTORIAN SANTA comes in many colors. My favorite are Green and Violet SANTA. But, Victorian SANTA comes with robes in light or dark shades of Purple, Blue, Brown, Black, White, multiple designs and patterns in many shades of Red, along with finely dressed or shabby SANTA, weird SANTA, fat and skinny SANTA.

My favorite scene is SANTA delivering his gifts. Love the shabby SANTAS. I love these cards.

Well- tis the season for Santa- what a fun hobby. I will keep my eyes peeled for you. There is a great old vintage shop across the street which sells antiquarian books and old postals. I once collected snowmen.

Wow MB- I stopped at an antique store and the old bookstore and those non-red Santas postcards were going for about 20 bux per card! Who knew? I found one brown Santa. Now I will really be watching out for them.
