And Now For The Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival...

Post by Kat »

Beautiful day here folks.
83 degrees. Bay Hill Golf Tourney is in full swing (yes DougOh I like puns! ) I think they are racing at Sebring.
But it is the famous weekend of the Art Show, which is one of the most prestigious in the country with a $10,000 first prize. (I spoke to a lady in fabrics from Indiana who told me it took her 10 years to be voted in and she lives in Florida 3 months out of every year)!

Here are mainly pictures of Glass.
I think I like glass the best.

A just uncovered new building on Park Avenue. I mean literally. It had scaffolding and tarps on it until 2 weeks ago.
Park Avenue is the street where the art show is, and the tent tops at the bottom of the pic are a few of the booths.

I usually add a lake picture, don't I? Florida is like swiss cheese because of its lakes.
This is on the way home. Maybe a mile and a half from my house.

Very nice KAT: I find glass so much more refined than pottery, especially crystal. But colored glass is also beautiful. Especially large pieces.

And if you break large glass you can use it as a weapon. Think about it. Lizzie could do-in her parents, then break the murder weapon in little pieces and spill them in the garden, or perhaps make it into a neckless.......
