I thought the show was next week! Imagine my surprise to finally hear it on the local news! Jumped in my clothes and went for 3 hours. It's about 2 1/2 miles from my house.
These are not in any particular order.
I did visit my favorite part of the show-the High School Art! Last year I couldn't find it! This art gave me goose-bumps. It's raw, no influence, From The Gut Art.
Starting with flowers and sky- that's real.
It was about 55 degrees, and got up to about 65 by 1 pm.

The first exhibit that I took a picture of- at least 30 minutes into walking the show.
The artist bills himself as "Artist of the Andes."
He had the best new work I'd seen in several years.
His mane is Nicario Jimenez, of Naples, Florida.
(He looked Peruvian).

Hands and knees and feet
We all stood there awaiting movement. Then a breeze would disarrange the girl's hair and we thought surely she had moved. Amazing!

Those were not real people- I've been asked by others. They were sculpture.
I saw them last year but couldn't get close for a photo.
I like primitive art and the girls on the beach at night look primitive to me. I can also relate to walking on the beach at night with good girlfriends. It's a fun picture. It makes me have to imagine their faces and expressions. It gives me a hint and my imagination has to supply the rest, tho the feeling is clear- solidarity- going into the future but capturing the moment.
I've seen some of Marc Sijan's work in the past, its pretty cool. Part of the reason why they look so real is that he actually makes casts from real people to use as molds for the resin.
Thanks for sharing your pics with us, Kat, as always, very nice work. Wish I had a digital camera, we have some lovely things in bloom right now in southern California like Wisteria.

It just occurred to me why you asked that question.
I mostly like the picture because it was produced by a 14 year-old-girl. A 9th grader. I think if you had known that you would get it too. Raw talent in a youngster is wonderful!
Oh Susan- you and a digital camera would be so cool!
