When I made my GoogleEarth movie showing the Lizzie Borden B&B, I thought I was the first person to think of seeing this place from above. Silly me!
I found this remarkable website that shows famous murder sites from the air with GoogleMaps and GoogleEarth. It is so very kewl! It is called VirtualGlobeTrotting and they have just about every murder site you can think of: Dealey Plaza, Goree Island, La Bianca murders, MLK, Leon Trotsky, Gianni Versace, Abraham Lincoln, Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman, and the list goes on and on and on. Check it out.
I don’t speak or read German, but I found a fairly interesting site that contains a portfolio of doll characters. Included, of course, is a Lizzie Borden. Elegant, young, and plucky. Reminds me of Winona Ryder for some reason.
This image was taken by the late Terence Duniho. It is a picture of a picture of the bloody bedspread from the Guest Room, which appears to have been draped over a chair. If you look very carefully, you can see spots of Abby’s blood. Also note that it is a fringed bedspread. This is a rare image, not one seen for quite some time. This photo used to be on display at the Lizzie Borden B&B but was removed some time ago. The bedspread is currently in private hands. The Fall River Historical Society has the the pillow shams from the Guest Room on display in their collection. UPDATE: They also have the bedspread in their collection.
Inventive original art. Original Halloween Painting - Lizzie Borden Ghost.
This is an original painting in a frame. Painting measures 6.5″ by 4.5″. The entire piece measures 7.75″ by 5.75″ from the outside edges of the frame. This painting is done in acrylics on a 5″x7″ canvas board. It shows two jack o’lanterns looking up at the sky in a worried manner. Two ghosts are floating there who may be Lizzie Borden and a cat. This painting was recently completed in 2006 by the artist (me). The frame can be stood up, or hung on a wall.
