Signs

There are two interesting signs on sale on eBay related to Lizzie Borden today. This one Primitive Lizzie Borden Bed & Breakfast Sign, is an original piece, which makes it ultra cool in my book. Says the auction: “An original Design of Mill Creek Primitives. Base painted Black with butter pecan lettering…Stained and sanded. Approx 7 1/2 by 18 inches in size.”

Then there is this one making another appearance. You can read all about the history of this sign on other posts by me recently. Apparently, the seller decided that his $200 auction was too steep to garner a sale so he lowered it WAY down. Might be worth getting if you can get it inexpensively!

Axe of Violence

Lizzie Borden made her fist appearance in the September 1993 issueof Avengers West Coast #98 and reappeared in the Avengers West Coast #99, #100. Her occupation: Agent of Satannish. Her enemies: Avengers West Coast, Mephisto; her family. “Borden’s physical abilities were all enhanced by Satannish. Her right hand was replaced by two-sided axe. She also used other two-sided axes as throwing weapons. Her powers could be augmented or drained by Satannish as he saw fit.” Check this site for futher infomation.
