Fall River History Club Call for Presenters
The Fall River History Club, founded in 2007 by Al Lima and Stefani Koorey, is seeking presenters on topics related to the history of Fall River, Massachusetts, or the surrounding communities.
Talks can be on almost any subject related to this area. Some of the talks we have had in the past include: Fall River’s South Park, Circus and Early Entertainments, Trolley History, Fall River Artists, the Fall River Iron Works, Lizzie Borden, the Ice Industry, Fall River’s Fires, the Granite Industry, the Underground Railroad, Birds of the Southeastern Massachusetts Bioreserve, a talk about Parallel Lives: A Social History of Lizzie A. Borden and Her Fall River, a talk about The Cream of the Crop by John Cummings, a talk about Fall River Revisited by Stefani Koorey, a history of Fall River’s mills, King Philip’s War, Memories of WWII, Sarah Cornell, a viewing of Below the Hill, the History of the Quequechan River, Baseball and Fall River—–the list is long!
So do any of you have something to share?
We can assist you in any technology you may need, from helping you create the presentation to running the show for you while you speak.
And if you can’t speak about your topic, please think about who you know might be interested in giving a talk!
Please reply to us at fallriver (at) mac dot com. Thank you!
