The Bristol County Courthouse is, of course, the location of the trial of Lizzie Borden in 1893. The second-floor room has been rearranged since Lizzie’s day, but, amazingly, it is still a working courtroom.

The architecture of the space and some of the lighting fixtures appear period. While the benches for the spectators “look” old, they are more than likely not from the 1800s.

Includes a plan of the Bristol County Courthouse second floor courtroom where Lizzie was tried for murder.
